Happy Birthday, Oliver!!!!

Ok, so this is a little more than a week after his official "birthday", but you'll have to forgive us.  We have been just a bit busy.  We are enjoying the new addition to our family soooo much!  Wade and I forgot how much fun (and work) newborns are.  

John Oliver Esty entered our world on April 1st, 2008 at 1:17pm.  He looks just like Ben did when he was born!!

My mom and dad came the day before he was born and stayed for a few days after his arrival.  They were GREAT!  They got Ben to and from school and made sure that we were all fed.  We could not have made it through that first week without them.  Thanks, guys!!

Wade took most of this last week off from work and that was a real treat, too.  We have had great weather and have been able to get out some.  Just some little errands here and there and one delicious trip to Cracker Barrel!  YUM!

Ben has been just awesome!  He amazes us so much.  We knew that he would be o.k. with having a new member of the family, but we just didn't know that he would be as wonderful as he has been.  He finally held Ollie (he was a little nervous about that) today, but has been talking to him kissing him this whole time.  He stays pretty interested in what he's doing....especially those body noises.  That's GREAT entertainment for a 6 year old boy.  Ha ha  Ben seems to talk more about Oliver to other people than he does to us, though.  His art teacher said to Wade and me, "Ben said he was 7 pounds when he was born"  Ben always retains more information than we realize.
